And we're off!

July 18, 2026

We hit two big campaign milestones today: publishing our platform and heading out for our first door-knocking shift!

You can check out our platform here. Using last year's as a jumping-off point, we've added in lots of details on what we've been able to accomplish in the short time since I became councillor, along with the key concerns for our ward and city.

We had a great afternoon door-knocking in the Morse Place area.  With a bit of a sense of déja vu (feels like we were JUST here!) , we quickly got into the groove, and appreciated the time folks took to speak with our team about what they love and what needs work in their neighbourhood. Better care for the Northeast Pioneers Greenway and our tree canopy, along with traffic calming and river health, were some of the concerns brought forward.

It was very hot out today, and it was so appreciated when the kind folks at our final stop offered to fill everyone's bottles with ice water. A perfect way to end the shift! Thanks, Elmwood-East Kildonan!!

p.s. One of the neat little bonuses about door-knocking is seeing so many cool front-yard features, like this adorable gnome-themed little free library!
