Volunteers are essential to any political campaign, and we have some incredible ones on Team Emma! 

As a community-led campaign, our team members have been hard at work for many months doing a huge array of tasks that would be utterly impossible for me to do alone. We have volunteers out door-knocking, delivering lawn signs, answering calls, driving folks to the polls, designing our print materials and working on our website, booking events, and doing what feels like a million other things in the background. I feel beyond blessed to have this team by my side each day.

Over the weekend, a few members of Team Emma went to donate blood at Canadian Blood Services as a way to do something fun together and take a little break from the hustle and bustle of campaign life. Our Volunteer Coordinator, Jess, has a special connection to Canadian Blood Services and we thought it would be a meaningful way to pay forward our gratitude for all her hard work on the campaign. For two members of Team Emma, it was their very first time donating blood!

Running an election campaign can be all-consuming, and campaigning while also serving as city councillor full-time means I count on our team more than ever. It really underscores that we can always accomplish more when we work together than when we go it alone.

From the bottom of my heart, a huge THANK YOU to all the dedicated volunteers who are giving so much of their time and energy, day in and day out, to this campaign. None of this would be possible without you and it's an honour to be on this team together!
